The linen is a really good heavy weight, as nothing is worse than flimsy, see through fabric.

The jacket can either be worn on its own or to complete the suit.

These jackets and matching trousers are made up in an undyed version of our blue twill fabric.

It is an excellent very soft brushed 100% cotton and they have been made up using dyeable cotton thread. Even the buttons are cotton and take dye as well.

Following on from all the huge success of recent Regency dramas we are delighted to have finally completed our own Regency Man's coat. These early C19th cutaways became the established shape from 1805 onwards. Our modern formal evening coats are the direct successor.

The shape of this coat is highly authentic being cut to according to original patterns. It is made in England from pure wool lined in cotton.

There are two working pockets on the outside and one inside.

The buttons are admittedly non authentic plastic but we had them specially dyed and are happy that they look quite convincingly like cloth covered ones.

These coats are a tight fit so if in doubt order a size up. They can button across the chest for a double breasted fit but generally these coats were worn open to display the waistcoat.

The waistcoat seen here is a printed sample which will be available shortly.

This heavyweight cotton twill jacket is now established as a perennial favourite with everyone in search of a robust garment, which can take you from the allotment to the pub (and probably back again)

We use an excellent heavyweight pure cotton fabric, which is washed twice, once before making up and then a second time after the jacket is finished. This ensures that the garment is softened and gently aged. They will continue to fade slightly with wear.

The inside pocket makes a useful addition for these utility garments. They are relatively short, which was the conventional shape for workwear chore jackets.

These make excellent Summer jackets for everyday wear, and are particularly popular with gardeners.
